Site Review Committee

This Committee is charged under Section 4.19 of the Hinckley Township Zoning Resolution with the following intention:

“Having prepared and adopted a Township Master Policy Plan and established a continuing planning process, site plan review criteria are hereby established to achieve among others, the following purposes:”

  1. To provide for the integration of new development with surrounding environment.
  2. To ensure that new development will make proper use of the natural environment.
  3. To ensure that sites are property designed for traffic circulation and emergency access.
  4. To provide assurance that a single development and or/one built in progressive stages will be completed in accord with the approved plan.
  5. The Committee must review the 15 criteria listed in Section 4.19.F before approving any new or change of use.

Five members of two different Boards and the Zoning Inspector hold seats on the Site Review Committee.
